Wednesday Afternoon Book Study
“WABS Book Study Group will meet at a different (not the usual) day for May.
In May, Wednesday Afternoon Book Study we will meet on the last Wednesday, the 27th of May, still at 10 a.m. in the Church Library. We will be choosing books to read over the months of June, July and August, as we don’t meet in the summer months, but resume our meetings in September.
All are welcome to join us at our last meetings, as we critique, ponder and glean meaning from our books, and suggest more inspiring reads for the summer.

Bells
The La Verne Church of the Brethren the Bells gather regularly to rehearse and share the joy of music in worship. Bell practice is a time of learning, listening, and community, and all who are interested are welcome to explore this meaningful ministry. All are welcome to join.

Choir!
Choir practice at La Verne Church of the Brethren is a time to gather, sing, and grow together in faith. Through rehearsal and fellowship, the choir prepares music that enriches worship and deepens our sense of community- all are welcome to join.

Odd Tuesdays Music Circle!
Join Randy Miller and Ed Hume for Odd Tuesdays Music Circle, a welcoming space where folks can bring a stringed instrument, play along, or simply hang out and enjoy the vibe. No pressure, no expectations, just music, creativity, and community.

What? Women Happily Aging Together?
The newly formed What? Women Happily Aging Together? group had an excellent turnout at its Lenten Connect Group that it will continue as a Mid-Week Group. The women expressed a clear desire to continue meeting regularly for fellowship, activities, and shared outings. Tentative events have been planned for the next four months, each to be organized and led by different members of the group.
Please save the dates for several upcoming opportunities for fellowship and connection in the months ahead:
- Saturday, May 30 – Wreath-making gathering with a potluck lunch
- Tuesday, June 16 – Docent tour of the Sam Maloof House (bring a lunch)
- July – Evening concert in the park gathering
